My feelings are less pure, but ballet was very good for my sisters and I for a long time, so (surely) I can bear it.
leahI almost (ALMOST) feel sorry for you... I had to buy Missymoo demi pointes yesterday.. she thinks Ballet is boring but does 100hrs of ballet at school and two hours of tution a week after school.. Plus tap dancing / jazz and tap private lessons.. trying to fit a ballet private in somewhere.. only 4 afternoons this year, so yeah for having Fridays and / or Saturdays off for the first time in 10 years! LissaPS Miss Lara refers to ballet as 'running with style'
Performing Arts HS then? I know - I don't know whether to hope they think it's stupid and ditch it after this year... or just resign myself to being a ballet mum for the next 12 years or so. Of course, I've also got the whole body issues thing going too which complicates my feelings...
Being the clumsiest person I know I was never keen to go to ballet school. But friends did and loved it. I'm sure you'll be fine but maybe you need to be prepared to be a ballet mum if they love it!How aRe you going with your kaffe preparations? Are you finding the whole massive foam core board thing a tremendous stress? I have no room in my car for such a beast, so bought two smaller boards and will join them together :)
Kira begged me for two years to do ballet, so this year, I finally bit the bullet and said yes. She is still doing jazz as well, but has dropped tap. I secretly hope she doesn't like ballet and wants to pick up tap again, but she seems to love it at the moment. For me, as long as she is enjoying she can keep it going. I just make sure she is doing other things as well, especially while she is so young. Good luck!
