Frosty mornings

We're getting foggy, frosty mornings now. But then the sun burns through, and it's a bright, cool day. This is all novel and exciting. I have lived in a cold place before, but I was at Uni, and absorbed in other things.
I also wasn't concerned about heating bills then. This year, it could be a big deal.
As Nalani's due date approaches, I am feeling lower and lower. There's nothing to be done, except knitting, and baking, and remembering.
Yesterday, in the middle of Kmart, Lucas asked me if I was growing a baby in my tummy. I thought I was going to instantly vomit. Instead, I coughed and answered "No." To which he replied "I am." And Annabelle agreed "Me too."
